Music at the Rally To Restore Sanity and/or Fear
Mark this down as a historic event ladies and gentlemen; October 30th 2010 is the date that Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert held a massive rally at the National Mall in Washington D.C. It was a rally for people who live real lives and don't have extremist political views nor control the conversation. Stephen Colbert merged his March to Keep Fear Alive with Stewart's Rally to Restore Sanity and the end result was The Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear.
No rally would be complete without a bit of music and this one was no exception. The Roots were present for the entire event which featured a music battle between Cat Stevens, Ozzy Osbourne and The O'Jays; Kid Rock, Sheryl Crow and T.I. (via a green screen performance) performed the new song The Least I can Do Is Care; Tony Benett sung America the Beautiful; Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart (who should never be allowed to sing) had their own song disputing which of the two loved America the most.
