Trent Reznor to Score Girl With The Dragon Tattoo
After providing the remarkably fitting soundtrack to The Social Network, Trent Reznor is once again collaborating with movie director David Fincher. Their next project together is The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo which is based on the first book of the Millennium trilogy. Don't except the score to be similar to that of The Social Network; the tone and feel of Dragon Tattoo is far different and is forcing Trent to do a more orchestral piece this time around:
"We started recording things in a different way, that was all based on performance, nothing programmed, and that would be my limited skills at stringed instruments. We process it in a way that gives it a really interesting, organic, layered feel. It felt like something we've never done before".
Atticus Ross is once again working with Trent for what will quite possibly be one of the better soundtracks of 2011. That's not the only project Trent and Ross are working on. Remember, Trent's post-NiN band, How To Destroy Angels, that he started with wife Mariqueen Maandig? There's a full album underway and this one is more polished than the original EP that was recorded on the fly. 2011 is already shaping up like a big year for Trent Reznor.
