System of a Down Announce North American Headlining Shows

In November of last year, System of a Down announced that they would be playing a few shows over in Europe; fans in other parts of the world were left wondering if more shows would be added. Now we know.

Earlier today the band announced a handful of headlining North American shows in preparation for their trip overseas. Opening up for them will be Gogol Bordello.

According to their website, this is the first group of dates with more touring news to follow.

May 19 2011 - Albuquerque, NM – Journal Pavilion
May 22 2011 - Las Vegas, NV – The Pearl
