Chris Cornell Announces New Soundgarden Album
It's coming! Chris Cornell has officially announced the first Soundgarden album in over 15 years. The frontman confirmed the news in an interview with Spin magazine:
"We start recording in about a week in Seattle [..] We're putting the music first, The process of writing, recording, and being creative together is the most important thing, not meeting a deadline."
Don't expect the album to arrive any time soon; Cornell is scheduled to begin a new solo tour this spring which will interrupt the recording process. Soundgarden are not in a rush though; Chris is not planning on releasing the new record until he's 100% content with it. Adam Kasper, who worked on their last original album, will serve as producer once more.
Check back for more information on the new album in the near future. One last thing, if you notice a band named "Nude Dragons" playing near you, check them out! Nude Dragons is an anagram for Soundgarden and the band will sometimes play secret shows under that moniker.
