Courtney Love has pulled Hole (or what's left of the band anyway) out of Australia's Soundwave Festival which was scheduled in February 2012.

The singer posted her frustrations publically on Twitter in the form of a (rare for her) coherent rant:

"What bloody flight of crazed fancy made you think we'd open for Limp Bizkit dude? No offence, that's nuts."

The event promoter, AJ Maddag, replied:

"Like we were going to ask her permission every time we book a band. No point taking her back, only for her to cancel later, or turn up and act like a rotten twat to other artists and fans. I am really mad about this. I was given so many assurances that this would not happen when I took the booking."

Hole was set to play alongside Machine Head, System Of a Down, Slipknot and others at the festival. Courtney Love is currently in the process of writing a new "tell-all" memoir for William Morrow.
