5 Music Performances That Sucked in 2008
As another year goes by, we take a look back at the absolute worst performances of the prior year. From Britney to Kanye, there were a lot of goofs and embarassing microphone issues. Take a look at our list below.
No. 5Britney Lip Syncs her way through Good Morning America
After a terrible start of the year which included some child custody problems, a hospitalization and possibly being diagnosed with bipolar disorder, Britney got back on track with her latest album 'Circus'. While the Album was a critical and commercial success, this performance of her on Good Morning America was not. She had problems lip syncing to the song and received much hate from her fans as a result.
No. 4Linkin Park attempts to cover Guns N Roses.
Here's a tip, unless you're a teenage girl who is wearing jeans that are two sizes too small, you will never be able to sing like Axl Rose. Linkin Park botches their effort at performing Sweet Child O' Mine. Also Link, what's with the guitar track on this one? Very sloppy.
No. 3Celine Dion tries to cover AC/DC
Speaking of bad covers, what happens when a diva tries to rock it out to "You Shook Me All Night Long"? Well it sort of sounds like a middle aged woman trying to do some karaoke at the local flea market. Sorry Celine, stick to what you know. Here's the travesty in action.
No. 2Kayne's SNL embarrassment
Okay, it's not really Kayne's fault here. Both vocal correction technologies on his mic didn't work so we got stuck listening to his actual voice for a few seconds. A tough break for the voice of this generation.
No. 1Amy Winehouse being herself
I have to give credit to Amy for one thing on this one: Not once did she fall during this performance. She was high as a kite, punched a couple of her fans, forgot some of the words to her song but she did it all on both feet.
