Diamond In the Ruff: ArnoCorps

Today marks the start of a new feature here at UpVenue titled "Diamond in the Ruff" where we will profile a band that you've never heard of, but should definitely check out. Today we present you with a band known simply as ArnoCorps whose sole reason for existing is to be a tribute to Arnold Schwarzenegger. Tribute to Arnold.. How can they go wrong? Hint: They can’t.

ArnoCorps’ sound is a mixture of heavy metal and punk but they refer to their music as “Action Adventure Hardcore Rock And Roll” which is more accurate.  They’re located in San Francisco California where The Governator does his bidding. The band consists of 5 members who are rumored to be of Austrian decent:  Inzo der Barrakuda and Vielmehr Klampfe, who are armed with guitars, Toten Adler who harmonizes with his Bass, Gelland Adler plays the explosive drums and Holzfeuer acts as a messenger for Arnold’s voice.

Releasing their first two EPs (EP01 and EP02) was enough to propel that band into cult following status in the San Francisco Bay Area. They followed up the EPs with their first album, The Greatest Band of All Time, which released in 2005. The lyrics of their songs are mainly quotes from Arnold action movies. Here’s a little sample:
