Green Day's 21st Century Breakdown Leaked

Green Day's 21st Century Breakdown Leaked

Green Day appeared at the Grammy Awards earlier this month and announced that their next album would be titled “21st Century Breakdown”. The album is scheduled to be release in May 2009 but guess what, the internet doesn’t like waiting and a demo of the first single has found its way on the web. This is just a demo so the end result may differ. The song is very much in the same vein as Green Day's last album, American idiot. The multi-part song begins with a soft melody playing and soon after, the drums start kicking in. The second part starts with a drum beat very similar to the one from “Dearly Beloved” but quickly changes as Billy Joe begins singing. The last part of the song is considerably slower with more focus on the vocals.

This has been a terrible year for record labels who are trying to keep their artists' songs from spreading on the net. U2’s long awaited album; No Line On The Horizon, was recently leaked before appearing on MySpace. We’re not going to link out to the 21st Century Breakdown leak obviously, but be patient, the song is expected to be available on iTunes and MySpace sooner rather than later.
