Jack White’s The Dead Weather Now Touring

Move over The White Stripes and The Raconteurs, Jack White is now fronting yet another band, The Dead Weather. Joining Jack are Alison Mosshart (The Kills), Dean Fertita (Queens of the Stone Age) and Jack Lawrence (The Raconteurs). The super group formed just a few weeks ago, yet they’ve already had their first show in New York and their first album will be in stores on June 9, 2009.

Reviews for the New York show have been very favorable and the band has been described (by Spin) as “these people kick that sort of please-sir-I-want-some-more posturing to the curb with a scotch in one hand and a goddamned Davidoff in the other”.

Jack, Alison and the gang are said to be drama queens, which places them in the same category as all those other alleged super bands that have formed and split due to irreconcilable differences. Still, we can’t wait to see them live.
