4Blue Orchid
The song was originally described by Jack White as "The song that saved the album". Get Behind Me Satan, was a complete departure for the stripes with Jack easing off the electric guitar and introducing the piano, acoustic guitar and mandolin to the mix. While the record was very well received, Blue Orchid was their safe bet.
Choice Lyric: "You took a white orchid turned it blue"
3We Are Going To Be Friends
It almost feels like a guilty pleasure, but the simplicity and campy nature of We Are Going To Be Friends makes you wish you were a kid all over again.
Choice Lyric: "and when I wake, tomorrow I'll bet, that you and I will walk together again"
2Icky Thump
Icky Thump comes from the Northern England term "Ecky Thump" which translates to "Oh God"; the exact expression that will come to mind when you realize that song is being performed by only two people.
Choice Lyric: "Why don't you kick yourself out, you're an immigrant too"
1Seven Nation Army
Seven Nation Army won a Grammy for Best Rock Song in 2004, is constantly played at sporting events around the world, and the main riff is quite possible the best of any song in the 21st century. Easily a favorite from their incredible discography.
Choice Lyric: "I'm gonna fight em off, a seven nation army couldn't hold me back"
