Steve "Stevo" Jocz Drummer for Sum 41 Has Left The Band

After 17 years with the band, Sum 41 drummer Steve "Stevo" Jocz has left the band.

In a surprising announcement tonight, Sum 41 drummer, Steve "Stevo" Jocz let it be known that he would be leaving the band. After being in the band for 17 years, Stevo posted the news on the band's Facebook page; he wrote:

I'm sorry to announce that I've decided to leave Sum 41.

Touring with the band has been an amazing experience that has taken us far beyond our old practice space in my parent's basement to countless countries around the world. I've had the opportunity to see and experience so much and for that I am truly grateful.

I just want to thank all of our fans for making the last 17 years possible. I had a blast.

Thanks again,

Stevo.

No word yet on what the future holds for the rest of the band. Earlier this year, they had mentioned that they planned on releasing new music later this year. If and when they make an announcement, we'll let you know.
