Bowie has been battling cancer for the last 18 months and died peacefully today. He never let his cancer get in the way of what he loved doing. His final album Blackstar was released just 2 days ago as his parting gift to world.

Bowie had a myriad of hits including Space Oddity, Starman, Heroes, Under Pressure, Let's Dance, Life on Mars and Rebel Rebel. He created his flamboyant alter ego Ziggy Stardust.

Bowie was also a talented actor and appeared in quite a few movies such as Labyrinth, The Prestige and even let's not forget his cameo as a judge for the "walk off" in Zealander.

He will be missed but never forgotten.
